12 May marks the signature of a pioneer student loan scheme with Diákhitel, the Student Loan Centre in Hungary, part-financed by the Bank. The loan shall be signed in conjunction with five other projects in the region.
Following the signature the EIB and Diákhitel shall host a press conference and a lecture at the University of Budapest, Corvinus. Speakers at the lecture which will be attended by students, teaching staff and members of the local press will be EIB VP Mr Roth, the Rector of the University of Budapest, Prof Dr Tamas Mészáros and the Hungarian Minister of Finance.
