- As security policy challenges mount and the balance of global order shifts, security and defence financing is high on the agenda. How can Sweden and Europe gather the resources they need to face these challenges? This seminar will highlight the financing needs and associated challenges, as well as the stakeholders that can and must contribute to strengthening security and defence.
- Swedish and European security financing is complex and involves both national and international players. Security financing can come from various sources: the national defence budgets of Sweden and other EU Member States, EU defence funds, NATO membership and contributions, the private sector and defence industry, as well as international aid and cooperation (such as support for Ukraine). But how does this work in practice?
