The EIB participates at the Green Week 2004, an annual event organised by the European Commission's Directorate General for the Environment. The Green Week 2004 takes place in Brussels from 1-4 June. This year's central theme is Changing our behaviour: informed choices for a greener Europe.
Green Week is aimed at local, regional and national decision-makers, companies- multinationals as well as small and medium-sized enterprises - and associations and non-governmental organisations. It consists of a range of conferences, round tables, etc as well as an exhibition, including a stand from the EIB.
As the EU's long term financing institution, EIB's operations are driven by EU policies and objectives. Accordingly, protecting and improving the environment ranks among the Bank's top priorities. Publications and information about the Bank's environmental activities are available at the EIB stand.
