The European Social Fund (ESF) can be used to support a variety of financial instruments such as micro-finance and other loans. A special seminar is being organised by the EIB and European Commission in Italy to help advise ESF stakeholders on the use of such financial instruments.
Designed to be particularly relevant to ESF managing authorities and others involved in implementing the ESF, seminar content will explain advantages, features and suitability of financial instruments in the ESF. In addition, a training session on the ex-ante assessment requirements for ESF financial instruments is planned.
Case studies will provide practical experience about using financial instruments for ESF purposes. Other sessions will highlight the range of support available from fi-compass, as well as from the European Commission and EIB co-operation in general.
Strong audience interaction is foreseen through panel sessions with experts, question and answer segments as well as roundtables. All sessions will be in English with Italian translation available.
Registration for this ESF seminar is available through the event calendar on the fi-compass website.
