The EIB is participating in the EU Sustainable Energy Week 2013 held from 24 to 28 June. This year`s focus is on energy efficiency. There will be some 100 events taking place in Brussels with further energy days and conferences taking place in all 27 EU Member States.
EIB Director for Energy, Cheryl Fisher will speak at the 2013 Covenant of Mayors Ceremony on Monday 24 June from 16.45 to 17.45. She will present the Bank’s support for sustainable energy investments to reinforce local economic growth and job creation.
EIB Head of Division Energy Efficiency & Renewables Juan Alario will participate in the high level conference session “Local and regional renewable energy investment 2020 and beyond: the need for a level playing field”, organised by the Committee of the Regions, on Thursday 27 June from 14.30 to 17.00. Deputy Head of Division Climate Change & Environment Manuel Dueñas will discuss investments in sustainable energy at the session “ Investing in Sustainable energy: benefits for financiers, industry and consumers”, organised by the European Commission, on the morning of Wednesday 26 June.
