The EIB is participating in Carbon Expo, the leading global fair on carbon markets. This year, the event will make the link between carbon markets, green technology and climate finance and discuss climate policy development.

Christopher Knowles, Head of the Climate and Environment Division, James Ranaivoson, Managerial Adviser for Innovative Products for Climate Action and Martin Berg, Investment Officer, will speak on three different panels about financial instruments and innovations that can help attract public and private finance towards climate action projects.

The EIB is also organising a side event entitled “New mechanisms to channel private finance towards REDD+, climate and conservation”.  This session explores innovative structures that have been developed by public and private players to channel finance into the protection of ecosystems and climate change mitigation, and where there are unexploited investment opportunities. It will take place on Thursday 29 May, from 10.30-11.30, in Room 2 Floor 2.

Visitors will also be able to meet our representatives at our stand in Hall 11.1 Stand B-028. We will explain how, as the EU Bank, we apply a robust, comprehensive approach to address climate change, in support of EU policy and as a global leader in the area.
