The EIB is being represented at Carbon Expo, the leading global fair and conference for emissions trading, carbon abatement solutions and clean technologies. Around 2 600 visitors from 110 countries and 200 exhibitors are attending.
Visitors will be able to meet our representatives at our stand in Hall P5, Street C, Stand 311. We will explain how, as the EU Bank, we apply a robust, comprehensive approach to climate change, in support of EU policy and as a global leader in the area. We work to cut greenhouse-gas emissions but we also finance projects which help adapt to climate change.
EIB Loan Officer Kristin Lang will participate in a side event “Getting to zero by 2020: catalysing on-the-ground investment to reduce deforestation”, organised by Conservation International on Thursday 30 May from 16.45-17.45. The event will explore innovative solutions and financial structures to reduce deforestation.
