Description
Objectives

The project comprises of multiannual investment programme for the electricity distribution network in BIH over the period 2025-2029 for three power utilities. The programme includes investments in network rehabilitation, expansion, metering, automation and telecontrol targeting at improving the quality of supply, reduction of losses and integration of renewable energy generation.

The aim is to enhance the security and reliability of electricity supply, improve distribution system control, and support efficient monitoring and analysis of energy consumption and losses. It will also facilitate the integration of renewable energy sources.

Environmental aspects
Procurement

No significant environmental impacts are expected. The EIB will evaluate potential environmental impacts and review the promoter's procedures as to environmental sustainability to ensure compliance with the EU standards and best industry practices.

The promoter shall ensure that implementation of the project will be done in accordance with the EIB's Guide to Procurement and the relevant applicable EU public procurement rules.
