    Description
    Objectives

    The project concerns investments for research and product development in the field of precision instrumentation and controls. The R&D will cover the following main segments: (i) Test and Measurement, (ii) Materials Analysis, (iii) In-Line instrumentation.

    The project will contribute to increase the promoter’s knowledge and technological know-how in the field of (i) test and measurement for sound and vibration and for industrial and laboratory application, (ii) instrumentation and solutions for preventive default detection and for gas analysis, (iii) advanced analytical systems for materials analysis and characterisation, also through the adoption of nanotechnologies.

    Environmental aspects
    Procurement

    The project concerns investments in research and development that are expected to be carried out in existing facilities already authorised. An EIA therefore is not required by EIA Directive 85/337/EC, amended by Directives 97/11/EC and 2003/35/EC. Overall, the project is expected to have a neutral impact on the environment.

    The promoter is a private company not operating in the utilities sector, and is thus not covered by EU Directives 2004/18/CE on procurement.
