Objectives

Construction of a new combined heat and power plant unit to replace an older one.

The project will install an advanced peat and biomass-fired technology power plant, which will have a lower environmental impact than the old one it replaces.

Procurement

This new CHP power plant is expected to fulfil the criteria for high-efficiency co-generation set up in Directive 2004/8/EC.

The Utilities Directive 2004/17/EC applies to the procurement of the promoter, which is a public undertaking supplying electricity and heat to public networks.
