Die Abteilung Wirtschafts- und Finanzstudien unterstützt den strategischen Entscheidungsprozess der Bank durch zielgerichtete Forschung im Wirtschafts- und Finanzbereich. Sie nimmt auch an internationalen Foren teil und pflegt Kontakte zu anderen internationalen Organisationen.
Die im Juni 2008 stattfindende EIB-Konferenz zu Wirtschafts- und Finanzfragen wird den Themenkreis Infrastrukturinvestitionen, Wachstum und Zusammenhalt behandeln. Die auf der Konferenz vorgelegten Unterlagen werden in Band 13 (2008) der EIB Papers veröffentlicht werden.
