Vice-President Fayolle's areas of oversight include financing of environment, climate action and the circular economy, the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI) (until end-2020), development (policy and horizontal issues, jointly with Vice-President Östros), financing operations in France, Germany, the ACP countries (Africa and the Pacific – except the Caribbean States and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), jointly with Vice-President Östros), OCTs and South Africa. Vice-President Fayolle also oversees the relations with international financial institutions, coordination with multilateral development banks (MDBs), the relations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank (WB) and the European Central Bank (ECB).
Today, the EIB and the Thuringian Development Bank, Thüringer Aufbaubank (TAB), signed a grant agreement funded by the European Investment Advisory Hub. The Advisory Hub supports the development of advisory capacities and the local delivery of advisory services through a dedicated call for proposals for national promotional banks and institutions. The agreement aims to address the needs of Thuringian municipalities for support in the preparation of sustainable and financially viable projects using various sources of funding and financing.
