Case Description
On 9 February 2024, the EIB Group Complaints Mechanism received a complaint from an individual regarding the Malawi NRWB Water Efficiency project, raising concerns related to a consultant for the project. The complainant was proposed by the consultant to the promoter as an expert for the preparation of a technical document and alleged that the consultant had utilized his work without contractual arrangements being finalized.
Following the collaborative efforts of the complainant, the promoter, the consultant, the EIB services, and the Complaints Mechanism, the concerns raised by the complainant could be resolved during the initial assessment phase. Since no further actions will follow, and in line with paragraph 2.3.3 of the Complaints Mechanism Procedures, the initial assessment phase was closed with the issuance of a Conclusions Report.
