Germany’s donor partnership with the EIB started in 2005. Over the two decades since, Germany has made contributions to or been a founding member of eight trust funds. Donor support provided by Germany promotes climate action, sustainable development and infrastructure investment in the EU neighbourhood, Ukraine and in developing countries around the world. The projects supported by the trust funds cover areas such as renewable energy, urban resilience, inclusive growth and green hydrogen.
