Aspects environnementaux
The investments are part of the transport operational programme 2007-2013, which underwent an SEA procedure and the environmental effects were assessed. Given the nature of the project, it falls under Annex II of the EIA Directive (2011/92/EU) and the need for an EIA must be verified at the time of allocation. For this major project, a preliminary environmental impact assessment was performed. On the basis of the findings of this assessment, the competent authorities require a full EIA for the Szajol-Püspökladány reconstruction. The environmental permit has been issued for the project, which is not expected to have any impact on Natura 2000 sites.
