Objectives

The construction of 195 km of high-speed rail infrastructure between Madrid and Valladolid.

The project is a priority TEN and a key component of the Spanish high-speed rail network. At Valladolid the line will connect with the projected new high-speed line to Vitoria and from there to France. It will also will connect at Valladolid with the projected line to Oporto (Portugal).

Compliance with EU environmental directives and national laws shall be ensured.

Procurement procedures applied by the promoter are in compliance with Council Directives applicable to public authorities’ procurement, and national legislation.
