Harnessing hydropower in Burundi can increase access to electricity from 10% now to 35% by the end of this decade. The EIB, African Development Bank, World Bank and the European Commission are working together with local and international partners to back the 49.5MW Jiji & Mulembwe hydropower project and deliver SDG7.
