Access to clean water and sanitation promote good hygiene and build resilience to epidemics such as COVID-19. This is what the EIB, alongside its partners, is supporting in Mwanza, as part of the Lake Victoria Water and Sanitation Programme that is committed to improve water and sanitation infrastructure in municipalities surrounding Lake Victoria in Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya. In collaboration with UN-Habitat, Agence Française de Développement (AFD), KfW and the European Commission.
