    Description

    Financing of the Slovenian social and affordable housing development programme.

    Objectives

    The project is located throughout urban locations of Slovenia and its purpose is to build affordable housing for eligible people. The newly built residential buildings will be inclusive, sustainable and green housing buildings offering residents high quality public space and access to diverse commercial and social services.

    Environmental aspects

    The project will have to comply with the EIA Directive 2014/52/EU amending the EIA Directive 2011/92/EU and, if applicable, the SEA Directive 2001/42/EC as well as Habitats and Birds Directives (92/43/EEC and 2009/147/EC respectively). As the project involves construction and refurbishment of buildings, it will need to comply with EU Directive on Energy Performance of Buildings. The project will also be Paris-aligned.

    Procurement

    The Bank will require the Promoter to ensure that contracts for implementation of the project will be tendered in accordance with the applicable EU procurement legislation Directive 2014/24/EU as well as Directive 89/665/EEC as interpreted by the Court of Justice of the EU, with publication of tender notices in the Official Journal of the EU, as and where required.
