ELECTRIC NETWORKS OF ARMENIA CJSC
The project consists of the modernisation and upgrade of electricity distribution assets in Armenia, through expansion of the network, improvement of management systems and compliance with international standards.
The project objectives are to increase the quality and reliability of the electricity supply, to reduce network losses, and to provide for the incremental demand from new customers.

The project schemes, if located in the EU, would fall neither under Annex I nor under Annex II of Directive 2014/52/EU amending the EIA Directive 2011/92/EU and would not require an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). The main impacts of the project are expected to be related to the construction phase during which mitigating measures will be implemented as necessary.
The Bank will require the promoter to ensure that implementation of the project will be done in accordance with the Bank's Guide to Procurement.
