SAONE ET LOIRE PROGRAMME TRES HAUT DEBIT
The project relates to the design and roll-out of a publicly-owned passive fibre broadband network PIN ("Public initiative network" or "Réseau d'Initiative Publique" or "RIP") in the Saône-et-Loire department, France. The Project foresees that the Department will roll-out a fiber to the home (FTTH) network covering up to 102 000 residential and professional premises in areas currently not served by commercial operators and where no operator is planning to deploy FTTH network in the future.
The objective of the project is to deploy a fibre to the home (FTTH) network and to provide connectivity to public sites in areas not covered by commercial operators.

Investments in fixed telecommunications projects (mainly civil works for fibre rollout) do not fall under Directive 2014/52/EU amending the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Directive 2011/92/EU. The related works have limited environmental effects, apart from disturbance during civil work construction, which can be mitigated by appropriate measures.
The Bank will require the promoter to ensure that contracts for the implementation of the project have been/will be tendered in accordance with the relevant applicable EU procurement legislation.
