    Loan to complement a risk-sharing fund that is endowed with ERDF moneys from the 'Technology Fund 2007-2013' and that has been created for the financing of companies of innovation and techonology related sectors in Spain.

    Objectives

    The proposed EIB loan for SMEs aims to enhance the Bank’s support to the economic development of small-sized companies mainly in less-favoured regions. The loan is expected to support projects undertaken by SMEs and Mid-Caps operating in innovative and technology related sectors. It may contribute to increasing the productivity of the final beneficiaries as well as to creating high-quality jobs. It is foreseen that around 70% of the funds will be located in convergence, phasing-out and phasing-in regions of Spain.
