    Promoter – Financial Intermediary

Milano Serravalle – Milano Tangenziali SpA

    Location

    Description

The project aims at implementing safety investments on the Milan motorways system in Northern Italy. Safety upgrading measures will be located on some sections of the Milan west motorway ring-road (A50) and of the Milano-Serravalle motorway (A7) including the connection to the Pavia ring-road.

    Objectives

Most of the project motorways are heavily trafficked. Therefore, safety enhancements are expected to lead to significant societal benefits. In addition, the proposed investments are upgrading the existing motorways to the safety standards required by the European Directives concerned as transposed in the national legislation.

The upgrading investments are not part of a plan or programme as defined in the SEA Directive 2001/42/EC (Valutazione Ambientale Strategica) and consequently the SEA Directive is not applicable.
