    The Project focuses on financing of small-scale projects in the fields of industry, services and commerce promoted by SMEs.

    Objectives

    The Global Loan enables the Bank to develop further its lending in favour of small and medium enterprises as it will help BFL to step up its lending in this vital segement of the Polish economy. The global loan is expected to generate positive effects both in terms of availability of long-term funding and in terms of overall financing cost.

    Environmental aspects

    In accordance with the Bank's policy to ensure that sub-loans comply with the Community acquis, in particular in the fields of environment and public procurement, the intermediary shall stipulate with the Final Beneficiary that sub-projects undertaken by the latter with the proceeds of EIB funds should comply with the relevant applicable EU and national legislation.
