Construction of organic waste recycling and transfer plant.

Objectives

The project is aimed at reducing the use of biodegradable waste in landfills by encouraging recycling and organic processing through composting. It supplements the Communauté Urbaine's waste treatment network, which already includes the Halluin processing plant.

Environmental aspects

It will contribute to improving public health and the quality of the environment. In particular, it is is planned to produce biofuels to run part of the conurbation's bus fleet and thus reduce pollutant gas emissions.

Procurement

The Metropolitan Community of Lille is subject to European procurement directives. All contracts for works projects financed by the Bank will be issued in accordance with the provisions of European Union law.
