Promoter – Financial Intermediary

Deutsche Apotheker- und Aerztebank eG, Düsseldorf.

Location

Description

Projects of limited scale in the field of medical professions. The projects will include investments in medical practices (premises and medical equipment) of doctors, dentists and veterinarians as well as pharmacies, exclusively located in assisted areas (objective 1 or 2) within the EU, mainly in Germany.

Objectives

With an exclusive focus on the medical professions and a market share of more than 50%, Apobank plays a central role as financial intermediary in this segment, which, by its very nature, is traditionally dominated by small-scale private enterprises. Under current global loan operations, allocations to the increasingly important medical sector are still rare. The start of global loan operations with Apobank promises to significantly improve the reach of EIB support to this sector. Final beneficiaries are private and public sector promoters of any size and ownership, mostly independent doctors, dentists and pharmacists.
