    Description

    The project encompasses the supply and installation of 6,800 IT-Classrooms in primary schools. The project is an important part of a much larger program of the Ministry to introduce IT classes in compulsory education, which corresponds to 8 grades of primary education.

    Objectives

    The project is an essential part of the Ministry's program to introduce IT classes in primary education. Promoting digital literacy and improving quality of educational materials (a.o. through computer-aided teaching and learning) are key elements of the Turkish Government's Basic Education Program. The Basic Education Law (1997) extended compulsory schooling from 5 to 8 years and aims to achieve improved quality in primary education.
