Objectives

The project consists of financing selected investment infrastructure schemes (educational and health sectors) to be implemented between 2010 and 2014.

The project comprises a range of small to medium sized new-build investments and associated equipment that are designed to replace old and to create new capacity within the Region in health and education.

Environmental aspects
Procurement

Educational and health facilities are not specifically mentioned in the EIA Directive on Environmental Impact Assessment, though elements of the project may be covered by Annex II of the Directive in relation to urban development.

The promoter is required to respect national and European legislation applicable to public authorities’ procurement.
