    Description
    Objectives

    Equity participation on ENPI risk capital resources of up to EUR 10 million equivalent in Mena Joint Investment Fund, a fund investing in majority and controlling stakes in private companies across selected industries.

    The aim of the Fund is to create value by creating, restructuring or growning companies by focusing on boosting naturally advantaged industries and improving the competitiveness of those suffering from a legacy of inefficiencies.

    Procurement

    In addition to complying with Egypt’s environmental laws, regulations and policies and, where appropriate, EU legislation (e.g. sensitive sectors, environmental impact assessment), the Fund has agreed to develop environmental guidelines in agreement with its leading investors, namely the IFC, the African Development Bank and the EIB.
