Summary sheet
The project concerns investments for research and product development in the field of sensing technology. The focus of R&D will be on sensing technologies for both automotive safety application (namely passenger and pedestrian safety) and for other sensing systems applications (automotive comfort & convenience, handheld mobile devices, other consumer and industrial applications).
The project will contribute to the promoter’s and its research partners’ knowledge about sensing technologies, and supports the development of new applications, not only in the automotive safety field but also in other consumer and industrial fields.
The project concerns investments in research and development that will be carried out in existing facilities already authorised. An EIA therefore is not required by EIA Directive 85/337/EC, amended by Directives 97/11/EC. Overall the project is expected to have a neutral impact on the environment.
Procurement is expected to be in line with EIB guidelines for private sector projects. The Bank’s services will verify details during the project’s due diligence.
