Objectives

Financing of projects undertaken by mid-cap companies along the lines envisaged in the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the European Commission and the Bank dated 13.06.2006.

This mid-cap loan would be in line with EU Objectives; Articles 267 (a) and (c) as well as the Bank’s COP priority targets in addressing projects in fields such as cohesion and convergence, environmental sustainability, RDI and energy.

Procurement

All sub-projects financed under the proposed loan will be required to comply with the relevant national legal framework, to be acceptable in environmental terms to EIB and in line with EU environmental policy.

Compliance with EU Directives and national legislation and guidelines is made a condition for each allocation under the mid-cap loan.
