Environmental aspects
Procurement

EIA required: To be clarified during appraisal. Parts of the project fall under Annex 2 of the EU directive 97/11 and an EIA is at the discretion of the national competent authorities. The investment concerns mainly R&D and takes place in existing facilities and the project is, therefore, not expected to have any major negative environmental impact. The project is not likely to have an impact on natural conservation sites as it takes place in an existing industrial zone.

The promoter is a private company not operating in the Utilities Sector, and is thus not covered by EU Directives on procurement.
