Objectives

The project concerns the final stage of the expansion of Fira de Barcelona (the Fair of Barcelona - FB) facilities, with the construction of new pavilions and creation of new parking areas.

The project is vital to the maintenance of FB's competitive market position and hence ensure its long-term viability.

Procurement

Compliance with EU Directive 97/11/EC, amending 85/337/EEC, will be verified during appraisal and the status of any environmental studies and public consultations will be reviewed.

Procurement procedures will be examined during appraisal.

Comments

Construction of infrastructure for exhibitions, trade fairs and conferences.
