Description
Objectives

The project covers investments in new content productions and the development of related spin-offs.

Objective is to contribute to the financing of new audiovisual content productions for selected sale of “rights to broadcast” to others including TV broadcasters around the world.

Environmental aspects
Procurement

No environmental EU Directive specifically addresses the audiovisual industry.

The rights to exploit TV programmes are acquired by BBC Worldwide Limited from the BBC and independent production companies. BBC Worldwide Limited also co-invests in new programmes. Investments are subject to “fair trading rules” and carried out following commercial investment appraisals.
