Objectives

Construction and operation of one shopping center in the Campania region and four new hypermarkets (two in Campania and two in Sicily).

To enhance the market position of the promoter. The project will contribute to modernise the Italian distribution chain. Consumers are expected to benefit from an increased efficiency and a more diversified offer.

Environmental aspects
Procurement

Shopping centres fall within the scope of Annex II of the directive 97/11/CEE concerning Environmental Impact Assessment; approval by Regional Authorities (which are responsible for the application of the EIA Directive in Italy) is required. No adverse environmental impact is expected.

The procurement follows procedures usually applied in private sector projects.
