Summary sheet
Line of credit to Caribbean Development Capital Ltd, subsidiary of DFL for the making of equity and quasi-equity investments in small and medium-sized enterprises in Southern and Eastern Caribbean. Sectors targeted will be industry, agro-industry, IT, tourism and related services.
To help promote increased economic diversification in a number of the countries in Southern and Eastern Caribbean through the provision of risk capital resources to SMEs involved in non-traditional sectors.
Investments made from these funds are expected to comply with environmental standards for EIB financed projects. Larger projects may require an Environmental Impact Assesment.

Complaints mechanism
Any complaint regarding alleged maladministration can be lodged via the EIB Complaints Mechanism. The European Ombudsman acts as an independent external accountability mechanism of the EIB.
