The European Investment Bank (EIB) is participating in the World Circular Economy Forum 2023 (WCEF 2023), from 30 May to 2 June in Helsinki, Finland. The annual WCEF, a global initiative of Finland and the Finnish Innovation Fund (Sitra), presents the world’s leading circular economy solutions with business leaders, policymakers and experts participating from around the world. This year’s edition will focus on the ambitious action to accelerate the circular economy transition and to promote circular solutions for nature and the economy.
The European Investment Bank Group (EIB Group), which consists of the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Investment Fund (EIF), provided loans, guarantees and equity commitments worth €775 million for projects in the Baltics in 2022.
The top management of the Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) and the European Investment Bank (EIB) met in Luxembourg today to discuss future collaboration between the two institutions. The visit took place in the margins of the NIB’s Board of Directors meeting in Luxembourg, following the EIB’s visit to the headquarters of NIB in Helsinki in 2019.
