France: EIB backs Sodiaal, France’s largest dairy cooperative
The European Investment Bank (EIB) has granted a €70 million loan to Sodiaal – the largest dairy cooperative in France and the third largest in Europe – enabling it to finance its research, development and innovation programmes from 2025 to 2028. With its more than 8 000-member dairy farms, and more than 14 500 member farmers, Sodiaal owns the Yoplait, Candia and Entremont brands. Its activities include the production of drinking milk, cheeses, butters, yogurts, infant dairy products, and dairy ingredients.
France: Deep tech company Cailabs secures €57 million to accelerate growth and industrial scale-up, thanks to a financing round led by the EIB
Cailabs, a deep-tech leader in advanced photonics, today announced it has raised €57 million to accelerate its industrial expansion and global growth. The round of structured financing, led by the European Investment Bank (EIB), combines a €37 million financing from the EIB and a €20 million investment from Bpifrance (Definvest & Innovation), NewSpace Capital, the European Innovation Council (EIC), Starquest Capital, and CAIVE (Crédit Agricole Ille et Vilaine Expansion).
France: EDF and the EIB announce the signature of €500 million financing contract to support the modernisation and the resilience of Enedis-managed public electricity grid
EDF (acting in its role as shareholder of Enedis, the public utility managing the power grid across 95% of France) has signed a €1 billion loan with the European Investment Bank (EIB) . The loan will support Enedis’ investment programme, which aims notably to improve the network resilience to the impacts of climate change and the connection of decentralised renewable energy.
