    Promoteur – Intermédiaire Financier

EIB programme loan to finance investments of eligible mid-caps and, to some extent, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in different industrial sectors in Germany, Austria, the Nordic Countries, Poland and the Baltic States.

This programme loan will help to improve access to finance for mid-caps and SMEs and to further the sustainability of their competitive advantage over time, contributing to wider innovation development and deployment and creating growth and employment opportunities.

    Montant BEI envisagé (montant approximatif)

    EUR 250 million

    Coût total (montant approximatif)

    EUR 500 million

    Aspects environnementaux

The projects to be financed under this programme loan will concern investments that are expected to be carried out in existing facilities without changing the already authorised scope and would therefore not require an environmental impact assessment (EIA) as defined in the Directive 2014/52/EU amending the EIA Directive 2011/92/EU. However, for each sub-operation under this programme loan, the Bank's services will review during the project appraisal whether any of the concerned projects could fall under the EIA Directive, as well as any other environmental legislation and will ensure that those investments are implemented in compliance with the EU legislation.

    Passation des marchés

The Promoters will be private companies not operating in the utilities sector and not having the status of contracting authority. Thus they are not covered by EU directives on procurement.
