The section is characterised by high traffic levels and increasing congestion, causing a permanent increase in emissions and road accident risks. The reconstruction of the present road section is central to the overall transport plan for Warsaw as it connects the Siekierkowska Route to Warsaw's city ring road system and the TEN-T network.
