The 2024 Board Seminar with Civil Society took place on Tuesday, 15 October 2024 at the European Investment Bank’s (EIB) headquarters in Luxembourg and was open to interested stakeholders from civil society inside and outside Europe.
Since 2011, these seminars provide a unique opportunity for civil society representatives, and EIB directors and staff to have a constructive and fruitful dialogue. This event is a key pillar of the EIB’s stakeholder engagement and Transparency Policy, and a unique opportunity for a frank and open exchange with the EIB’s governing bodies.
Similar to previous years, the Board Seminar with Civil Society was structured around priorities and topics of mutual interest. This year’s theme, Overcoming the barriers to achieving a safe and sustainable future, made it possible to discuss various aspects of how to support a sustainable green economy in the European Union and beyond and what role the EIB plays in this journey. The event included an open discussion with civil society organisations and the EIB Board of Directors on topics of common interest, facilitated by an independent moderator.
