Niš is home to the most modern hospital in Serbia. With the EU bank's support, the hospital was renovated and equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment to serve a population of 2.5 million people. With the completion of this project, the inhabitants of southeast Serbia can enjoy better and quicker healthcare, with no need to travel to Belgrade for treatment.
