        Description

        Quando si tratta di creare il proprio futuro gli europei vogliono essere partner attivi e alla pari.

        La Banca europea per gli investimenti (BEI) e il Comitato europeo delle regioni (CdR) intendono fornire un’offerta complementare per dare alle regioni la forza ispiratrice e gli strumenti necessari per orientare i cittadini dell’Europa verso il progresso collettivo. La BEI e il CdR riconoscono che gli investimenti diretti alla coesione fungono da catalizzatore della crescita sostenibile. Si tratta di un aspetto essenziale per quanto riguarda il senso di società collettivo e la reciproca fiducia sui quali costruiremo il futuro dell’Europa.

        Dal 1958 la BEI ha finanziato progetti nelle regioni meno sviluppate, e considerando solo il periodo 2007- 2016, il suo sostegno agli obiettivi della coesione nell’UE hanno superato i 200 miliardi di euro. La nostra missione resta quella di adoperarci per una coesione economica, sociale e territoriale forte in tutta Europa. Un elemento cardine, a tal fine, sono i finanziamenti flessibili alle regioni, e far sì che coinvolgano il territorio locale, dove esiste una conoscenza profonda delle esigenze dei cittadini.

        Questo approccio decentralizzato è una strada che porta ad un’Europa dove ciascun cittadino - ovunque risieda - può sentirsi al centro del nostro continente.
