Description
The project consists of a loan facility to Raiffeisen Leasing Kosovo LLC to support Kosovo's small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Midcaps and social enterprises committed to generate positive socio-economic impact and sustainable growth in the country.
Objectives
The project aims to support local to strengthen economic resilience and sustainable growth in Kosovo. While promoting sustainable private sector-led growth and socially inclusive practices among SMEs and Midcaps in Kosovo, the project will support job creation and entrepreneurship in particular for women and young people and social inclusion through development of long-term employment opportunities for underserved as well as vulnerable or marginalised social groups. The project will contribute to inclusive growth by helping to expand economic opportunities for groups identified by research as struggling to engage in productive activities and the labour market. Consequently, it is expected to contribute to building Kosovo's economic resilience and to tackling potential drivers of emigration.
