Africa Capitalization Fund is an 8-year, pan-African investment fund, with a targeted investment level of USD 200 million. The fund focuses on investing capital and subordinated debt in commercially viable, systemically important banks to strengthen their lending ability and is a parallel fund to the global USD 3 billion target Global Bank Capitalisation Fund initiative led by IFC in co-operation with other DFIs and IFIs.
