    Case Description

    Complaint

On 20 November 2024, the EIB-CM received a complaint from a Civil Society Organisation regarding the Zero Carbon Lithium project. The complainant alleged lack of EIB’s response to three emails sent to different email addresses of the EIB requesting information in relation to this project.

    Worked performed

During its inquiry, the EIB-CM engaged with the Complainant and with the EIB competent services to collect information regarding the reasons of the alleged failure to reply.

The EIB competent services performed several checks on the different EIB mailboxes and found that the referred emails had never reached any of the concerned mailboxes, due to a technical issue. The responsible EIB technical services took the necessary actions to address this issue and to ensure that any future emails sent from the email address used do reach the EIB relevant mailboxes.

    Conclusion

From the information gathered, the EIB-CM considers that all necessary actions have been taken in order to address the reported issues. Therefore, the EIB-CM concluded the allegation has been addressed during the complaint handling process and the problem was solved.
