Complaint
On 15 November 2017, the EIB Complaints Mechanism (EIB-CM) received a complaint alleging that the surroundings of the project are being heavily secured, thereby limiting the population's freedom of movement. Furthermore, the complainant alleges the lack of dialogue between the promoter and the population, the existence of threats to people's health and negative consequences on the economy and the environment.
EIB-CM action
Since the project is still under appraisal, EIB-CM has transferred the complainant's message to the operational services of the EIB, which will consider the complainant's concerns and provide a formal response.
