Complaint
On 15 November 2017, the EIB Complaints Mechanism (EIB-CM) received a complaint alleging that the surroundings of the project have been heavily militarized. In addition, the complainant asks the EIB to monitor the situation. The complainant further alleges that the project will have serious impacts on the population's health, on the environment and on the economy of the region.
EIB-CM action
Since the project is still under appraisal, EIB-CM has transferred the complainant's message to the operational services of the EIB, which will consider the complainant's concerns and provide a formal response.
