Complaint
On 6 April 2016, the EIB Complaints Mechanism (EIB-CM) received a complaint in relation to the Nam Theun 2 Hydroelectric project concerning (i) the EIB’s reporting on the project to the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Council and the public; (ii) the EIB’s compliance with applicable transparency requirements; and (iii) the EIB’s monitoring of the project’s compliance with the Bank’s environmental and social standards and with the provisions of the Finance Contract.
