Mit 240 Mio. Euro für die Metro in Nagpur und 49,5 Mio. Euro für die Metro in Pune engagiert sich die EIB für einen grünen, sicheren Stadtverkehr in Indien.

EIB Global, the European Investment Bank’s development arm, is lending the Indian government $191 million to upgrade and expand water infrastructure in the northern state of Uttarakhand. The project is the first of its kind for EIB Global in India and covers water supply and sanitation in Uttarakhand, which is undergoing rapid growth in agriculture, manufacturing and tourism.    

The European Investment Bank’s development arm, EIB Global, is strengthening its longstanding partnership with India with three new financing packages to support clean water, sustainable urban mobility and climate action. Together, the transactions exemplify EIB Global’s commitment to India’s national development priorities alongside with advancing the EU Global Gateway strategy.
